This weekend I attended Shrewsbury indoor winter series. This is the first time I have run my XB2 in semi slippery conditions on polished floor mixed with carpet. I was struggling with rear end grip from the stock setup and so we added an additional degree of toe on the rear at 5 degree. This locked the back end in and made my car fast but easy to drive.
After a slow start in qualifying I started from second position on the grid. I started well but made a mistake a couple of minutes in to the race. I put my head down and turned some fast laps putting enough pressure on the leader to force them into a mistake about a minute from the end of the five minute final. I held the lead until the end managing to get through for an additional lap on the clock.
A great day once again with my Tekin powered XB2.
